BORN: September 1996
CLUB: Aberdeen
Remember When: He was thrown into the deep end away to Portugal and couldn’t have done much better.
Bio: A man who has never left Ireland down.
As someone who played his football with the likes of St Mirren, Wigan, Dundee United and Aberdeen in recent years, McGrath doesn’t quite have the same pedigree as some of his Ireland teammates.
That, however, hasn’t stopped him from being a 7/10 performer whenever called upon. Performances against Portugal, Serbia and Gibraltar stand out as his best and maybe we should see more of him in the future.

A set-piece specialist as good as Robbie Brady

"I hope I can fit in and maybe add a goal or two. I've hit 17 this season, I know a few have been from the spot but when you're feeling it you're feeling it"

Stephen Kenny on Jamie McGrath earlier this week:
— Ireland Radar (@IrelandRadar) August 5, 2022
"Heโs technically very good but heโs hugely mobile and has a tremendous out-of-possession shift.
"In those big matches against the Portugals and Belgiums, you need players who can do that.
"He can certainly do both.โ pic.twitter.com/qaFrtyrM56
