Remember When: He scored nine goals from wing-back for Shamrock Rovers
Bio: Andy Lyons looked like a player with international experience when he made the Bohs right-back jersey his own while still a teenager.
With a huge engine allowing him to get up and down the line and a combative spirit reminiscent of Seamus Coleman, it was no surprise when Shamrock Rovers came knocking for the Blackrock graduate in 2022.
Nine goals later and he was a Championship player. Blackpool was the destination and for a short period Mick McCarthy was the manager.
A bright start was abruptly halted by injury and personal issues but Andy still has the materials to make the most of his career and eventually become an Ireland men’s team international.
