Bio: Gavin Bazunu made his Ireland debut in the infamous 2021 1-0 home loss to Luxembourg, but come the return fixture – an excellent 3-0 away win – he was underlining his fan favourite status with one of the greatest saves you will ever see.
The meantime saw him make a memorable penalty save from Ronaldo in a 2-1 defeat to the Portuguese and produce a Player of the Match display against Serbia at the Aviva Stadium.
They were performances which illustrated him as one of Europe’s most promising young keepers and it wasn’t long before Premier League outfit Southampton came calling.
